Japan 2016. Day 12: DISNEY !!!!!!!!!!

It was a bright and early start to our day as we headed to Disney Sea in Tokyo. We just had to see how the Japanese put their own twist on this iconic theme park. 😜 
 

As soon as we entered the park, we were struck by the familiar sights and sounds of Disney, but with a unique Japanese flair. From the Disney characters to the visitors in full fancy dress, everything had a touch of Japanese culture. 

We spent the entire day exploring the park, enjoying the rides, and taking in the vibrant atmosphere. We couldn't decide what was more fun - the Disney characters or the Japanese visitors in their elaborate costumes. 













After a fun-filled day, we retreated to Akihabara, a lively area full of bright lights, maid cafes, and electronic shops. We couldn't resist the massive arcades packed with cranes and video games. The model shops kept one of us entertained till closing time.



And yes those are Rice Krispies in my meal 😂

Singapore 2018. Day 11: Art trail to retail.........

We were typical Brits abroad this morning, a full English😱.The lounge is stunning so we took a little time to enjoy it. Reading of course. I just love the decor, it feels like it could be home to me. We visited the National gallery of Singapore today. We love art and we love Asia so it seemed like a perfect choice. The gallery was originally the city hall and the Supreme Court. It has now been restored and updated into a stunning gallery,  the new meets old. Not only was the building impressive the art was captivating too. There were numerous galleries displaying some amazing Asian art. Some of the water colours by Lim Chang Hoe would look lovely on our walls. His art was very interesting to us as he returned after a number of years to each place that he had painted and repainted them. Taiwan 2014 Day 2: A day in Taipei

Let me tell you about our adventure-filled day in Taipei! It started with trying to find a place to have breakfast. Taipei is full of quirky cafes but it seemed like they were all hiding from us. After a while, we finally stumbled upon a charming little cafe and got ourselves fueled up for the day ahead.                                                                                      Our first stop was the stunning Lin family mansion and gardens.
