Singapore 2018. Day 14: The end ....


Sadly it was our last day today. So we did a little last minute shopping (gifts ) had a lovely lunch in a shopping mall food court and had a latte with cool latte art .






We finished our last afternoon enjoying the sunshine and pool. We had our last meal and got ready to go to the airport. We have had a fantastic time in Singapore  and one day hopefully we will return. There is still so much more to see and do so it’s with a heavy heart that we packed our bags (with Tea Matcha, Kopi and Kaya spread 😂) and made our way to the airport for our 13hour flight back to the UK. Our holiday has been everything we wanted and more. We definitely will not be waiting another 10 years, four more years and I will be celebrating my 50th so what a perfect way to do it 😜

Japan 2016. Day 12: DISNEY !!!!!!!!!!

It was a bright and early start to our day as we headed to Disney Sea in Tokyo. We just had to see how the Japanese put their own twist on this iconic theme park. 😜    As soon as we entered the park, we were struck by the familiar sights and sounds of Disney, but with a unique Japanese flair. From the Disney characters to the visitors in full fancy dress, everything had a touch of Japanese culture.  We spent the entire day exploring the park, enjoying the rides, and taking in the vibrant atmosphere. We couldn't decide what was more fun - the Disney characters or the Japanese visitors in their elaborate costumes.  After a fun-filled day, we retreated to Akihabara, a lively area full of bright lights, maid cafes, and electronic shops. We couldn't resist the massive arcades packed with cranes and video games. The model shops kept one of us entertained till closing time. And yes those are Rice Krispies in my meal 😂

Singapore 2018. Day 7: On the colonial trail .....

Today we had a lazy morning. We had a well-deserved lay-in and spent the morning by the hotel pool. This is the main pool but we don’t like it as much as the other one, it has hardly any shade but is great for floating around in After a refreshing swim, nap, and some reading, we headed over to the Anti. dote bar for some afternoon tea. The tea was served in a stylish vanity box, and the presentation was mesmerizing. The first drawer had delicate savories, the second had scones, and the third had clotted cream, lemon curd, and jam. And the top drawer had unicorn-inspired cakes. The food was not only visually stunning but tasted heavenly.  After indulging in copious amounts of tea and sweet treats, we did a little shopping (Tim, of course!). And then, we wrapped up our evening with a Singapore sling at the famous Raffles Long Bar.  The bar was impressive, colonial, and had a great atmosphere. We would love to stay at the hotel someday. Lake Maggoire Italy Day 3 : Swinging in a bucket

 It was an early morning start today and the weather looked a little cloudy. By the time we arrived over the other side of the lake at Laveno the sun had started to shine and my surprise for Tim could go ahead, not till we had had our morning cappuccino though. We were both a little apprehensive when we saw what the bucket lifts were like but we still jumped on one without a roof. We started the assent up Mount Sasso del Ferro which was 3484ft which took you just below the summit. The open top bucket lift gave us unparalleled views of Lake Maggiore, Po Valley, and the Lakes of the Lombardy region.  It is a popular spot for hand gliding but unfortunately didn't see any today. We took the small walk to the top and rested while taking in the mountain range. It was a lovely relaxing morning.
