Singapore 2018. Day 7: On the colonial trail .....

Today we had a lazy morning. We had a well-deserved lay-in and spent the morning by the hotel pool. This is the main pool but we don’t like it as much as the other one, it has hardly any shade but is great for floating around in

After a refreshing swim, nap, and some reading, we headed over to the Anti. dote bar for some afternoon tea. The tea was served in a stylish vanity box, and the presentation was mesmerizing. The first drawer had delicate savories, the second had scones, and the third had clotted cream, lemon curd, and jam. And the top drawer had unicorn-inspired cakes. The food was not only visually stunning but tasted heavenly.

After indulging in copious amounts of tea and sweet treats, we did a little shopping (Tim, of course!). And then, we wrapped up our evening with a Singapore sling at the famous Raffles Long Bar.

The bar was impressive, colonial, and had a great atmosphere. We would love to stay at the hotel someday. Tim being Tim decided to get his money's worth in peanuts as two Singapore slings were $75 but I am sure he ate more than that πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ When you have finished eating you sweep the shells onto the floor, supposedly a traditional thing to do. This seemed a little rude to us.
Feeling a bit tipsy we went to see the Merlion which is a mythical creature half lion and half fish. It's the official mascot of Singapore. It was a busy place so we stayed for tea and had Thai food.

Another memorable day and night in wonderful Singapore.
So cheers and goodnight. Hopefully we will be able to sleep tonight.
