Singapore 2018. Day 3: A slow start ....
Our day started early, or rather, it had never really ended since I hadn't slept at all. So, we decided to take it easy and have a lazy day. I must say, the hotel looked even better in daylight.
Our first order ofthe day was to find a local breakfast place, as it was on our to-eat list. I know it may sound a little odd, but we always try to taste the local food that a place is famous for. After walking for a bit, we found a small cafe that was very busy, which was a good sign. We decided to give it a shot, and boy, were we glad we did! The food was delicious; we had paratha stuffed with egg and cheese, served with a very spicy sauce, and washed down with Kopi (coffee made with condensed milk).
fter breakfast, we went on a stroll. As luck would have it, we were just a few minutes away from Orchard Street, which is famous for all the high-end shops. We stopped at TWG Tea Salon for a cup of tea and had the most delicious tea-infused macaroons. I chose a Yunnan secret needle green tea, and Tim went for a Himalayan tea. Some of the teas were so rare that they cost hundreds of dollars for one cup. Even though I chose a more reasonably priced one, Tim still refused to buy me a new tea strainer at $395. It was quite disappointing.

By the time we were done with the tea salon, we started feeling hot and tired. So, we made our way back to the hotel for an afternoon of relaxation. Of the two pools, we chose the Mayfair, which was very shaded and quiet. We had a really nice time swimming and relaxing in the pool all by ourselves. I must admit, this relaxing life is growing on me.

After feeling rejuvenated we went down to the riverfront for the evening. This is a lively area full of restaurants and bars.
We ate a delicious Korean meal of bibimbap and topoki.
We finished our evening enjoying the live music and the lychee martini cocktails so it is a very tipsy goodnight from us x
