Lake Garda 2022. Day 7 Our last day

 It was a little sad today knowing it was our last day. We enjoyed our last hotel breakfast and walked along the lake front into the old town. We were out early and seemed to have the place to ourselves.



The old town is a beautiful place, we enjoyed a delicious gelato taking in the wonderful views. We finished our last minute gift buying and bought his and her perfumes for our wedding anniversary. 




We spent the rest of the day at the lake side relaxing and swimming. It seemed like a perfect end to our holiday


We ate our last evening meal in the hotel and it did not disappoint.


Tomorrow we will be flying home. Our time in Lake Garda has been fantastic. It's been so much more than we were expecting. Our memories of Italy will stay with us for years to come and I am sure we return one day.

Singapore 2018. Day 11: Art trail to retail.........

We were typical Brits abroad this morning, a full English😱.The lounge is stunning so we took a little time to enjoy it. Reading of course. I just love the decor, it feels like it could be home to me. We visited the National gallery of Singapore today. We love art and we love Asia so it seemed like a perfect choice. The gallery was originally the city hall and the Supreme Court. It has now been restored and updated into a stunning gallery,  the new meets old. Not only was the building impressive the art was captivating too. There were numerous galleries displaying some amazing Asian art. Some of the water colours by Lim Chang Hoe would look lovely on our walls. His art was very interesting to us as he returned after a number of years to each place that he had painted and repainted them. Taiwan 2014 Day 2: A day in Taipei

Let me tell you about our adventure-filled day in Taipei! It started with trying to find a place to have breakfast. Taipei is full of quirky cafes but it seemed like they were all hiding from us. After a while, we finally stumbled upon a charming little cafe and got ourselves fueled up for the day ahead.                                                                                      Our first stop was the stunning Lin family mansion and gardens.
