Slovenia 2019. Day 2: A room with a view .....

We woke early today, excited to investigate our new surroundings. We are staying in a pension which only has 6 rooms and amazing views. The mountains are breathtaking .

                          

We walked into Kranjska Gora which is about a 15 minute walk. It is a very pretty town with lots of 

cute houses and cafes.

We decided we needed to get exploring this beautiful place and found a waterfall on the map and off we went.We caught the local bus to a small village called Mojstrana. It was a quaint little village 

which was very quiet. We got some bread, cheese and fruit for lunch and sat in the little square 

before starting our walk. The walk was a riverside trail that was very enjoyable and at times very steep. 

We arrived at the Pericnik waterfall. The hardest part of the walk was for the photo opportunity which 

was standing behind the gushing water at 52metres. 

We made our way back to the village to catch the bus just as the skies opened and there was a down pour, it made for some stunning views. We seemed to be waiting far too long for the bus. 

 We eventually made it back to Kranjska Gora where we enjoyed a pizza. Being so close to the Italian 

border Italian food is plentiful. We have enjoyed our first day immensely and finished it of with a

hot chocolate at our hotel taking in the views before nightfall.
